You will present a clear and concise 20 minute presentation on the interactions between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. You will also consider the impact that this integration may have on thermoregulation and how this affect is mediated within the two systems. Your presentation will be accompanied by concise notes of 600 ± 10% words that support you discussion.
Assessment Criteria:
1. A clear, concise, well written and well presented talk that covers both learning outcomes and is appropriately referenced (85%).
2. Detailed and well referenced notes that support the assumptions of your talk (15%)
The writer must be English as it is to be written in English, not American or Chinese English. Would rather that not so many American (uni/college) websites were referenced either, I hope you know what I mean by this.
HAVE INCLUDED A FILE called example of a past paper that shows what harvard referencing should look like called EXAMPLE PLEASE LOOK AT THIS.
YOU MUST LOOK AT JOURNALS FOR THIS. Where possible reference from up to date journals (from the last four years) and reference from the suggested reading list at the bottom of the instructions. As a rule use around 1 reference (from different sources) for every 100 words, use journals mainly, up to date books and try to stay away from webpages.
Assignment Title: Presentation
LOOK AT THE FILE Suggested layout for presentation. The presentation can include an activity for the audience, clips/ videos (no longer than 5 min) and time for questions and answers. It is more of a micro-teach than an academic presentation. Aim to be talking for around 7 minutes before playing a good resource and feedback and/ or questions/ video clips.
Remember to keep to the suggested layout for presentation file.
What I need you to do is provide the script along with powerpoint; this script must be close to 900 words to last 7 mins. You will also need to include a powerpoint presentation with slides that will go along with the script. The script must be numbered according to the appropriate slide so that the reader will know when to change slides. Where it says introduce topic and discuss your particular angle of interest (on the interactions between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system) for this, you can choose this. Though I suggest choosing to discuss interactions between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system when under the influence of an illegal drug such as opium or sleep deprivation (if that interests you too).
I suggest choosing to link in a relevant video into a slide in the powerpoint presentation for this (no longer than 5 min). With small intro/conclusion in script about 100 words.
Summing up your particular area of focus and suggesting further reading, Script is about 350 words also include a relevant slide for this into the powerpoint presentation.
Questions and answers along with slides, script is around 150 words.
Learning Outcomes:

European union law

European union law
The European Commission is concerned about the rising popularity of electronic cigarettes within the European Union. It intends to present a proposal for a new Directive to the European Parliament and Council for consideration. The draft Directive will be based on Article 114 TFEU (the internal market provision).
Sebastian, a graduate of Liverpool Law School, is working as a stagiaire (intern) at the European Commission. He is entrusted with the task of coordinating the pre-legislative arrangements for the adoption of the new Directive on electronic cigarettes. On 1 December 2013, Sebastian sent the finalised draft Directive to the European Parliament and Council for consideration. On the same day, he received a call from Mr Bill Morris MP, chair of the UK Parliament’s European Union Scrutiny Committee asking Sebastian to forward the proposed Directive to his Committee ‘for scrutiny.’ Sebastian is unsure about the legality of this request.
(a) Advise Sebastian on the appropriate response to Mr Morris’ request.
On 5 January 2014, the Council and Parliament adopt the new Directive under Article 114 TFEU – as Directive 2014/1 EU on the marketing and advertising of electronic cigarettes. The deadline for the transposition of the Directive into national law is 28 April 2014.
The United Kingdom Government opposed the adoption of Directive 2014/1 EU, but was outvoted in the Council. It now seeks to challenge the validity of the Directive, which it believes may not have been validly adopted under Article 114 TFEU.
(b) Advise the UK Government on matters of procedure and substance relevant to its proposed challenge to Directive 2014/1 EU.
iSmokes Ltd is a UK company that produces and markets electronic cigarettes. It also wishes to contest Directive 2014/1 EU. iSmokes Ltd is concerned that the new rules on the advertising and marketing of electronic cigarettes will seriously damage its sales volumes.
(c) Advise iSmokes Ltd on its prospect of successfully challenging Directive 2014/1 EU. What chance, if any, does the company have to contest the Directive?
Answer parts (a), (b) and (c).

The Sweet Girl

The Sweet Girl
Using the form of a letter to the author, discuss the issue and identify what especially engaged you in their text, and why. This might start with a personal reaction but needs to go on to question/explore/interpret the issue. Be specific: support your ideas with examples for the text.
We will be looking for a focused analysis in your letter. We are expecting you to consider the many ways the text extends, or deepens your understanding of the issue that has taken your attention. What does it reveal? What do you learn about ‘being human’ when you consider this issue? What is significant about this, in your view?
Ideas for issues: you might focus on a particular human problem (imperfect love, for instance) or situation that you think the author is exploring (how the past haunts the present) ; an idea in the way characters are presented and behave; an idea expressed by the way the story is structured. Alternatively, you may wish to analyse the language and/or form of the work. If you focus on language or form, you might consider how specific structures or use(s) of language create a deeper level of meaning/significance that help you to better understand the richness of the text and suggest something about human experience.
As you read, read with questions, search for clues. These sample questions should help you to get started: did the text lead you to think differently about the world, about being human or about writing as a creative process? Did it deepen, or confirm, views you now hold? Did it challenge you to see things differently? If so, how? Why do you think this is important? How did the author achieve this through narrative, character interaction and/or structure and language?
A word of advice regarding form for this assignment:
Obviously, this assignment does not require you to write a conventional academic essay. Instead, what we are looking for is a thoughtful, interpretative, critical response to the book you choose. Our grading sheet is available on the course website and shows how your letter will be evaluated.
Components of your letter should include:
1. an introductory passage where you introduce your considerations (about one paragraph in length).
2. a section where you present your analysis (including your questions) using examples from the text.
3. a concluding passage where you sum up your ideas. (Imagine the author reading your letter.) You may wish to conclude with questions that arise from your discussion.
Grading criteria: Your letter demonstrates 1. a focused analysis; 2. use of examples from the text to explain the significance of your points; 3. effective writing style

BCG Matrix, General Electronic Model, or MAC Model

BCG Matrix, General Electronic Model, or MAC Model
Question 1:
Assume that you plan to start a healthcare related business in your hometown. What products/services would you choose? Use either BCG Matrix, General Electronic Model, or MAC Model to conduct your analysis. List your reference(s) in APA format.
do not simply describe the generic model that you will use — you can safely assume that we all have completed the readings and understand each model. :-)
Instead, focus your discussion on how the model you’ve selected would help you analyze the business or the products/services that you would offer.
Question 2:
In line with the demographic trend, Advantage Home Health decides to offer adult daycare services. How might Advantage Home Health formulate a prestige pricing strategy and a price bundling strategy targeted to customers who do not have an insurance plan? List your reference(s) in APA format.
This question requires critical thinking, since the scenario may not be one with which we are accustomed or familiar. Many adult daycare services are not reimbursed by insurance, and this is the market that Advantage has decided to enter.
Remember to consider your target market and their needs, and to address both prestige pricing and price bundling in your response.
As with other discussion questions, there is no one “right” answer — so please share your recommendations on why and how Advantage could incorporate prestige pricing and price bundling in their pricing strategy, and be sure to include substantive support for your recommendations (i.e., recommendations must be based on your understanding/application of the course material, not just your personal opinion).
