You should take the role of a policy maker making a recommendation to your manager regarding an organizational issue. Papers will be evaluated based upon clarity of reasoning and thought. It is critical to apply the theoretical aspects of organization to a real world issue. Papers should include a list of references.

According to Jones (1999)organizational design is “the process by which managers select and manage aspects of structure and culture so that an organization can control the activities necessary to achieve its goals.” During organizational design, managers of the organization should continually balance between internal environmental pressures and external environmental pressure(Daft, 2007). Studies have identified the star model as the appropriate framework of organizational design. The star model is categorized into five factor: strategy, structure, processes, people and rewards.
