The film “Fed Up” was developed in a response to the increasing cases of obesity in the United States. According to the film (TheLipTV, 2014), there has been a steady rise of obesity among children in the United States and this poses healthy risks to them, while decreasing their chances of longer life span. The film attributed the increase in obesity to a number of factors, including the failure of government to provide the necessary regulations governing the amount of sugars in food distributed by the manufacturers in the country.
