Possible Causes of Poverty
In 2011, the Census Bureau released its annual report and pointed that close to 46 million Americans were living in the poverty level in 2010 (Rector & Sheffield, 2011). The facts represented a sharp rise from its previous estimates of 43 million individuals. Although the parameters used to define poverty in the country are different from those of other countries, the internal and external causes of poverty remain the same.
