First, review the module resources, including the text readings and SHRM resources. Next, carefully examine the behavioral competencies within the Business domain. The three clusters within the business domain are business acumen, consultation, and critical evaluation. Once you are familiar with the business domain clusters, conduct a self-reflection and analysis by responding to the following three questions as your journal:
Strengths: What are your areas of strength within the business domain, and how did you determine a cluster as a strength? Provide supportive examples.
Weaknesses: What are your areas of weakness within the business domain and how did you determine a cluster as a weakness? Provide supportive examples.
Strategies: What are your strategies for the development of behavioral competencies within the business domain? Provide supportive examples and information from your research.
Refer to the module resources and other course materials to support your responses. Your instructor will provide feedback pertaining to your self-reflection and offer recommendations for skill development.

Research presentation instructions are provided below.
Students will select a topic related to substance abuse or process/behavioral addictions (Alcoholism) and develop a PowerPoint (Prezi does not tend to work well in Canvas) presentation on this topic.
The presentation must be 15-20 slides long (This does not include references) and be supported by at least 10 refereed journal articles, 2 of which must be written within the past 2 years.
Ensure a reference list is included in the presentation. The purpose of this assignment is to give you an opportunity to independently explore in depth a topic that is of interest to you.
The presentation should not reflect personal opinions on a particular topic, but should be empirically grounded (or at least a summary of what others in the field have found). If you would like to use your opinion, please use “I” phrases and only in “implications for clinical practice section.”
Use quotes to a minimum. Points will be deducted for excessive use of quotes. There should be no more than 3 quotes in this entire presentation. (You have my permission to be creative for this assignment, as long as you are following the criteria in the rubric, attached below). Do not copy and paste from websites or literature as Turnitin similarity reports will be reviewed and addressed in accordance to Academic Integrity policies. For this assignment, Turnitin similarity scores above 30% will be addressed. The best way to avoid elevated scores is to paraphrase your research into your own words, then cite your sources. If you copy and paste directly from sources, even if you cite, this can be considered plagiarism.
Organization:
The presentation should be sub-divided into the following headings.
Review of existing literature. Summarize what is currently known and, if possible, critique methods used to collect data. Include in your lit review why it is an important issue today and generally what is known in the literature (suggested limit: 6-8 slides)
Gaps in the Knowledge Base. Identify issues that we do not yet understand related to your topic and future research needs (suggested limit: 3-4 slides)
Implications for Clinical Practice. Based on the research literature, identify the treatment and intervention options that practitioners, agencies, and communities should consider and implement (suggested limit: 6-8 slides).

Imagine that you are a counselor working with a child who is having some behavioral problems at her elementary school. As a scholar practitioner, you approach your work with her from an empirical standpoint and want to measure the effectiveness of your work. As such, you pose the following research question: “What impact does a designed intervention have in reducing off-task behavior, physical aggression, and verbal aggression for the identified child?” For the purposes of this research, the target behaviors for intervention are as follows:1. Off-task – failure to maintain eye contact with task at hand for more than 3 consecutive seconds2. Physical Aggression – hitting/pushing/kicking peers/teachers, throwing objects3. Verbal Aggression – threatening, yelling Consider the following observation report: During the first observation period, which was conducted on Monday (in math class) between 11:20 and 11:30, 10-minute, 10-second, partial interval recording was used to assess the frequency of off-task behaviors, physical aggression, and verbal aggression. Kaya was observed to be off-task 12% of the intervals observed, engaged in physical aggression 0% of the intervals observed, and engaged in verbal aggression 2% of the intervals observed. During the second observation (during recess), which was conducted on Wednesday from 9:00 to 9:30, Kaya was observed to be off-task 15% of the intervals observed, engaged in physical aggression 20% of the intervals observed, and engaged in verbal aggression 3% of the intervals observed. Kaya was also observed on Friday from 10:30 to 10:40 during a group activity. Kaya was observed to be off-task 20% of the intervals observed, was observed to engage in physical aggression 7% of the intervals observed, and was observed to engage in verbal aggression 10% of the intervals observed.Off task Physical aggression Verbal aggression12% 0% 2% 15% 20% 3% 20% 7% 10% Based on the above data, you determine that you must design a behavioral intervention for Kaya and determine if it is successful. As you begin the process of investigating your research question:• Briefly describe a time series design that you would use to investigate the impact of your intervention, and explain how you would collect and record the additional data. Be specific.• Select a method for graphically representing the provided data. Use the method to create a graph.• Analyze the data and provide a narrative description of your analysisImagine that you are a counselor working with a child who is having some behavioral problems at her elementary school. Designing behavioral intervention for a student with behavioral problems involve keen observations and choices on how to deal with the individual. Kaya is an elementary student with behavioral problems; off-task – failure to maintain eye contact for more than 3 seconds-, physical and verbal aggression. A time series design was conducted on his behavior, at different intervals and showed high percentages of off task, physical aggression and verbal aggression.
Following a behavioral intervention conducted on Kaya, simple time series design was used to measure the effectiveness of the intervention. Observations were conducted on a programmed intervention, following up on the change process. The descriptive nature of simple time series design generated the following report collected on a period of time:
The first observation was conducted during class free time, a day after the intervention, on Tuesday between 5p.m and 6p.m. Intervals of ten minutes was used to determine how often the behavior problem occurred. Off task reduced to 8%, 1% physical aggression and 1% verbal aggression, total calculation of the ten minutes intervals.
The second observation was conducted during a music class on Friday between 1p.m and 2p.m. same ten minutes interval was used. The student showed 5% off task behavior, 0% physical and verbal aggression.
The third observation was done during sports day on Saturday between 3p.m and 4p.m. The student showed great sign of improvement with 1% off task, 0% physical and verbal aggression.
Open-ended interviews and direct observation data collection method was used and information recorded on excel spreadsheet. Open-ended interviews were conducted on randomly chosen students and teachers, who cooperated in answering questions concerning the student in question behavior. I also conducted a direct observation on the behavior of the student. The interviews were conducted by trained and assessed individuals fit for the task. The interviewees were fellow students in senior classes hence open-ended interview ran smoothly. Both information was recorded in excel spreadsheet making it easier for final assessment calculations.
Bar-charts are commonly used method of presenting data graphically. Bar-c…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. behavioral problems at her elementary school
Instructions: Students will write a 2500-3000 word (about 10 pages in the main body) properly formatted APA paper (including a title page and references page, but no abstract) that evaluates/assesses the overall effectiveness of the business model used by your organization. This is the third of three assignments that draws from your association with your organization. The previous two “canvas” assignments flow into this one. Identify one or more of the building blocks from the business model canvas where modification should be recommended. Be careful to avoid bias in determining the issue/problem identified by using the canvas. Do not merely critique, but contribute to your organization’s overall success. This paper should be the culmination of the overall work you have done with the business model canvas so that all the pieces go together.
Your final paper should include:
Your business model canvas – Post-It notes discussion/observations (week 2)—summarize this area, but provide the initial canvas.
Identification of theoretical/behavioral trends that you observe in the business model and organization (week 5)—summarize this, do not merely cut and paste.
Discussion of appropriate theory, metaphors, and frames with which to describe your business model in operation, as well as to identify areas needing improvement and how to get there.
Use of the Osterwalder/Pigneur text to evaluate and diagnose your organization’s business model, as well as an integration of the course materials into your writing and consideration.
Recommendations for improvements identified using the canvas, theories, and assessment tools used in this course. What are the expected outcomes.
Use eight scholarly sources besides our textbook (especially case studies) to undergird your assertions from peer-reviewed literature.
Thoroughly familiarize yourself with the assignment specs and ask questions if you are unsure of expectations.
The paper must have at least eight additional scholarly sources in addition to the course textbook. No abstract is necessary, but a title page and references page should be included. Write your paper in third person, even though you are writing about an organization that you are familiar with. To do this, write from the perspective of a scholar who observes and researches about the case. Therefore, first person should be avoided.
While cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) have many similarities, they are distinctly different therapeutic approaches. When assessing clients and selecting one of these therapies, you must recognize the importance of not only selecting the one that is best for the client, but also the approach that most aligns to your own skill set. For this Assignment, as you examine the similarities and differences between CBT and REBT, consider which therapeutic approach you might use with your clients.
Learning Objectives
Students will:
Compare cognitive behavioral therapy and rational emotive behavioral therapy
Recommend cognitive behavioral therapies for clients
To prepare:
Review the media in this week’s Learning Resources.
Reflect on the various forms of cognitive behavioral therapy.
The Assignment
In a 1- to 2-page paper, address the following:
Briefly describe how cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) are similar.
Explain at least three differences between CBT and REBT. Include how these differences might impact your practice as a mental health counselor.
Explain which version of cognitive behavioral therapy you might use with clients and why. Support your approach with evidence-based literature.
Support your approach with evidence-based literature.
