Develop a Software Test Plan for Hangman that contains the test scope

The Hangman game is a classic word game where the word to guess is represented by a row of dashes. The player guesses a letter and if the letter exists in the word, the letter replaces the dash in the correct position within the word. If the letter does not exist in the word, the player loses one of the ten turns that the player starts the game with.

Develop a Software Test Plan for Hangman that contains the test scope and a minimum of five functional test cases and 5 non-functional test cases

Substance abuse or process/behavioral addictions (Alcoholism) and develop a PowerPoint

Research Presentation:

Research presentation instructions are provided below.

Students will select a topic related to substance abuse or process/behavioral addictions (Alcoholism) and develop a PowerPoint (Prezi does not tend to work well in Canvas) presentation on this topic.

The presentation must be 15-20 slides long (This does not include references) and be supported by at least 10 refereed journal articles, 2 of which must be written within the past 2 years.

Ensure a reference list is included in the presentation. The purpose of this assignment is to give you an opportunity to independently explore in depth a topic that is of interest to you.

The presentation should not reflect personal opinions on a particular topic, but should be empirically grounded (or at least a summary of what others in the field have found). If you would like to use your opinion, please use “I” phrases and only in “implications for clinical practice section.”

Use quotes to a minimum. Points will be deducted for excessive use of quotes. There should be no more than 3 quotes in this entire presentation. (You have my permission to be creative for this assignment, as long as you are following the criteria in the rubric, attached below). Do not copy and paste from websites or literature as Turnitin similarity reports will be reviewed and addressed in accordance to Academic Integrity policies. For this assignment, Turnitin similarity scores above 30% will be addressed. The best way to avoid elevated scores is to paraphrase your research into your own words, then cite your sources. If you copy and paste directly from sources, even if you cite, this can be considered plagiarism.

Organization:

The presentation should be sub-divided into the following headings.

Review of existing literature.  Summarize what is currently known and, if possible, critique methods used to collect data. Include in your lit review why it is an important issue today and generally what is known in the literature (suggested limit: 6-8 slides)

Gaps in the Knowledge Base.  Identify issues that we do not yet understand related to your topic and future research needs (suggested limit: 3-4 slides)

Implications for Clinical Practice. Based on the research literature, identify the treatment and intervention options that practitioners, agencies, and communities should consider and implement (suggested limit: 6-8 slides).

ASSESSMENT BRIEF
Subject Code and Title PUBH6013 Qualitative Research Methods

Individual/Group Individual
Length 1, 500 words (+/-10%)
Learning Outcomes This assessment addresses the following learning outcomes:
a) Understand epistemologies as they relate to qualitative research and when to use qualitative methodology
b) Critically evaluate different theoretical and methodological approaches to qualitative research
d) Appreciate cultural and ethical considerations for qualitative research in Public Health
e) Understand sampling techniques, bias and rigour as they apply to qualitative research
Submission By 11:55pm AEST/AEDT Sunday of Week 7
Weighting 40%
Total Marks 100 marks
Context:
This assessment is prescribed to advance literature searching, critical analysis, research question development, research planning skills, and reflexivity as a researcher.
This assessment involves developing a research question, preparing interview and probe questions, identifying four people that you can interview on this topic (for example, your family or friends, colleagues), and reflecting on your motivation and justification of your research proposal.
It assesses the key understanding necessary for conceptualising and developing a qualitative research proposal, which will prepare you for the use of qualitative methods in research and evaluation as a public health practitioner.
There are three steps to completing this assignment.
Instructions:
Step 1:
Develop a research question (similar to the ones you have explored throughout this subject) that supports qualitative exploration of a topic of your choice. Review the materials from Module 1 to familiarise yourself with the scope and purpose of qualitative research.
Warning: Topics must be low risk. This means that the topic should not be likely to cause distress or humiliation, and should not focus on vulnerable groups (such as children or people with a disability). You should discuss with your learning facilitator if you are unsure whether your topic is suitable.
Step 2:
Write 6-8 interview questions that:
• Focus on obtaining information that will help you to answer your research question
• Are qualitative (focusing on experience, opinion, values, perceptions etc) in nature
• Comply with best practice principles for interview question design (Module 4)
Obtain feedback from 2 (two) people to refine and improve your questions, and keep records of this feedback for submission with the project proposal.
Step 3:
Write a research proposal for your qualitative project. You must include:
• A brief literature review to summarise the existing knowledge in this space, and justify your proposed project.
• Your research question and the knowledge gap that it will address.
• A summary of the key elements of the methodology that you think would be the most appropriate methodology to use to explore your research question (ie grounded theory, phenomenology etc), and why it is appropriate for exploring your research question.
• Your methods, including how you will select your participants (in this case, four people whom you already know) and your interview process.
• Your interview questions.
• A personal reflection on your motivation for exploring this research question, any ethical or cultural considerations for your project, and anything that could create a risk of bias in your data (ie interviewing friends).
• An appendix containing records of the feedback received on your interview questions (such as a copy of the interview questions with tracked changes).
• Your assessment submission must address all of these points
Assessment Criteria:
• Justification of your research project (30%)
• Summary of methodology and methods (40%)
• Reflective writing on motivation and potential for bias (10%)
• Use of academic conventions (20%)

Fleeting Attention

As children develop from 0-1 year, attention usually flits in children from one thing to another. It is usually an involuntary and it is usually brought about by stimuli. For example, attention mostly shifts  from one  individual or object  to the preceding one  and the  child is distracted by an event  that is occurring  for instance a cloud, thunder, noise or a moving object that is making sound (Fish, Adlam, Limond, & Lah, 2017).

Rigid Attention

After the child attains the age of 1-2 years   develops rigid attention where their attention becomes involuntary. A child can pay or attend   task of their choice as they ignore the external stimuli so that they can maintain their focus for example, they may concentrate on blocks even though they will ignore adult intervention either through verbal or visual aspects (Valdois et al., 2019).

Single-Channeled Attention

When the child attains the age of 2-3 years they still fail to attend to stimuli that is other than the one they are focusing on the activity they are attending. The children can at times shift attention drawing from the attention f the adults. At this moment  the entire control of a child’s attention  lies with an adult for instance  in case a child is playing a game an adult could make them shift attention by saying  look at this and the child attention will shift  by responding and then it will go back to the game (Valdois et al., 2019).

Focusing Attention

After 3-4 years a child starts to control their focus but their attention is only on one activity. The child usually gives full attention to a particular task including audio and visual (Valdois et al., 2019). The child can also refocus and focus their attention using their discretion for instance; a child playing a game can halt when an adult speaks and then resume.

ADHD

It is usually  attention deficit hyperactivity disorder  that is mostly characterized by inattention an example myself at time I suffer  and friends tell me I display difficulty regulating emotions or issues  with executive function.

This issue affects children

Impulsiveness:  This tendency occurs when  children portray an attitude of shock,  for instance,  when they are doing something wrong if they are shouted at they  can react by urinating or having vigoro…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. aspects of attention that develop with age
