This rhetorical analysis essay analyzed “Womb for Rent” written by Ellen Goodman a Pulitzer Prize-winner. The author started the story by exploring the concept of job outsourcing nationally and globally within an economy. To invoke the pathos and emotions of her readers and at the same time exhibiting the mood of her ethos, the author introduced the subject as a disdain for the practice. The author then brought in the subject of surrogate mothers by discussing the role of Anand as surrogacy. She exhibited Anand to have been dubbed by stating that “the cradle of the World”. Goodman used logos to systematically outlined the process of donating eggs and sperm.
