The use of imagery in decision making is not only effective but has also been found to yield consistent results across different cultures (Lumsden, Lumsden & Wiethoff, 2010). Having experienced and used imagery in decision making process, it provides one of the effective strategies that can be used in making both personal and professional decisions. In the assignment and the class discussions, practice and use of imagery was discussed and this could be applied to enhance decision making process in the scenario provided. This is because in using imagery, it allows the decision to be weighed against the individual principles, goals and strategic goals. Doing so provides a mechanism where a specific decision can be adopted or rejected. If it is found that a particular decision under consideration is against the individual principles, goals and strategies, then it is discarded, otherwise it is pursued. In addition to imagery, the other mechanism that can be used to make decisions is brainwriting.
