Importance of Nursing Theory
name

Institutional Affiliation

The nursing theory that I chose for this assignment is the deliberative process nursing process theory. I chose this theory because it addresses the fundamental nursing concept of nurse patient relationship. How a nurse relates and communicates to his or her patient largely defines how effective they are in delivering patient centered care.  Available evidence suggests that such patient centered care is critical in promoting recovery and well being of the patient (Tk & Chandran, 2017). Therefore, this theory provides a framework under which nurses can improve their relationship and collaboration with their patients and consequently provide care that is patient centered.

The deliberative nursing process theory is based on the argument that patients have their personal meaning they assign to events, feelings and situations. Therefore, it is important for the nurse to validate their own assumptions, inferences as well as conclusions with their patients. In this theory, Ida Jean Orlando suggests the interrelationship between the nurses and their patients. The action of either of them has an impact on the other (Tk & Chandran, 2017). This theory involves five interactional concepts namely professional nursing functions, presenting behavior, reaction, process discipline for nursing and continuous improvement. The organizing principle within this framework is the professional nursing function. Presenting behavior refers to the actual problematic situation that the patient is facing (Tk & Chandran, 2017). Immediate reaction refers to the actual internal response. Nursing process discipline relates to the procedure of investigating the needs of the patients.  Improvement is resolving patient’s situation. This theory further outlines the deliberate nursing process as a five stage process. The stages include assessment, patient diagnosis, care planning, implementation of nursing plan and an evaluation of the success of the plan (Estupinan, Lord, Crumblish & Risher, 2018).

There are four major interrelated concepts that are central to nursing theories and which collectively make up the nursing metaparadigm. These include person, health, environment and nursing (Lee & Fawcett, 2012). The deliberative nursing process theory addresses itself to each of these concepts. To begin with, the concept of person refers to the individual, their family or community who are primary recipients of nursing care (Lee & Fawcett, 2012). The theory of deliberative nursing concept of person through outlining the process of assessment to determine the care needs of the individual patient. Environment refers to the surrounds of a patient including their physical surroundings as well as the people around them. This theory addresses itself to the concept of environment equally through the assessment of the impact of the patient’s environment on her presenting behavior and overall healing process (Tk & Chandran, 2017). The theory further addresses the concept of health through the diagnosis step as well as the implementation of the care plant that addresses the patient’s situation and presenting behavior while improving their health. Lastly, this theory addresses the concept of nursing through its emphasis on the process discipline for nurses.

This nursing theory is useful to the nursing process for several reasons. First, it outlines a framework for collaboration between the nurse and the patient (Estupinan, Lord, Crumblish & Risher, 2018). This enables the nurse to offer patient centered care. Secondly, it outlines an effective process through which nurses can offer care to the patients. The five stage process is instrumental in offering effective nursing care that is tailored to the needs of each patient. This theory further finds application in MSN particularly within the healthcare policy specialty. The theory will inform the formulation of policies that encourage patient participation in health care delivery. Healthcare policy makers

The Importance of Speedy Trial

One important principle in criminal justice is that every accused person is innocent until it is proven beyond that that such a person is guilty. The Sixth Amendment was enacted to protect this fundamental right of the accused persons. According to Samaha (2011), the Sixth Amendment states that in all criminal trials, the accused persons shall enjoy the right to speedy trial. The principle of speedy trial has been in place in the American Justice system long before the Bill of Rights and its application dates back to more than 900 years ago. Based on the premise of innocence until proven guilty, the right to speedy trial is important should be protected always by the trial judge.

The right to speedy trial helps in promotion and protection of several interests in the trial process. Samaha (2011) points out that through a speedy trial process it prevents the possibility of the accused spending longtime in detention before the trial process begins. Since the accused are not yet determined to be guilty speedy trial protects their right to freedom of association. Long detention is akin to saying that the accused is guilty and subjecting them to the anxiety of the detention process would turn out to be wrongful detention. Speedy trial eliminates such an occurrence allowing the victim the right to justice in the shortest time possible.

The speedy trial also ensures the protection of the uncertainty that surrounds the criminal prosecution by guarding the possibility of deterioration and or loss evidence. The protection of the evidence and guarantee of freedom through the protection of laws ensures that the trial process obtains the correct results (Samaha, 2011). This is because the delayed trial process would mean the loss of evidence and witnesses or loss of their memory. This would apply not only to the prosecution but also the defence side. The process also ensures the resources during the trial process are used effectively for the benefit of delivery of justice.             One of the major problems that faced the principle of the speedy trial has been delays in criminal proceedings. However, after years of debates and deliberations, the United States Congress enacted legislation to ensure possible delays in court proceedings were remedied. According to Wilson (2010), the US Congress passed the Speedy Trial Act in 1974. Through the act, time limits for the disposition of criminal cases in US trial courts were established. The act demands that charges are dismissed after they are determined………………………………………………………………………………………………

The Importance and Future of Internet in Our Daily Life

The advances in technology have revolutionized the way people communicate, commute and produce products and services (Bargh & McKenna, 2004). In the earlier days, before the advent of the power engine, people used to move from one destination to the other through foot. However, innovations saw the development of power engines and radio communication devices that made it easier to move and communicate. More innovations in the communications saw the development of the internet, which completely revolutionized communication and business. The internet has a number of applications, from business to personal communication.  In fact, it is now hard to image a world without an internet.

The Importance of Internet in One’s Daily and Professional Life

The internet is a communication medium, which enables the connection between two or more computers (Bargh & McKenna, 2004). The entire set up consists of the wires and antennas, the routers and servers. One can access the internet through a computer or internet enable devices like mobile phones and digital televisions. The internet has become part of daily life of every individual, finding a number of applications in both personal and professional lives.

At the personal level, the internet finds a number of uses, which includes communication through social media, emails, accessing online banking/payment systems and for personal research. The use of internet had bridged the gap in distance and now it is easier for one to communicate with their friends and family in real time without having to travel. Through applications such as facebook, Skype, Whatsapp and LinkedIn among others, one can easily get in touch with family and friends Moreover, the internet provides a platform where one can make bank transactions. Most companies, supermarkets and chain stores, have been linked with the internet and have an online market place where one can make purchases and payments.

Apart from personal level, the internet finds a wide range of applications in one’s professional life. The modern world demands that one remains up to date with what is happening around him/her as the current situations may affect one’s profession. For instance, an individual working in a business world needs to have information on the current business trends. The internet comes handy as through an internet search, one can learn what is happening in other economies or within other destinations of interests. In addition, internet facilitates communication in the workplace through emails, files sharing, online workshops, teleconferencing and interviews. All these have facilitated the way businesses are done and thus have enhanced the levels of professionalism.

How Often the Internet is Used on Daily, Weekly and Monthly Basis           The internet finds use on a daily basis and perhaps throughout the year. On average, I use the internet about six hours in a day. However, this may vary depending on the daily commitments, for example, when conducting a class research; the use may be as high as eight hours. In a week, the internet is used for forty-two hours…………………………………………………..
