Ruby Red Movie Theater has experimented with using different numbers of workers in the concession area of the theater as well as at the ticket counter

Instructions; Ruby Red Movie Theater has experimented with using different numbers of workers in the concession area of the theater as well as at the ticket counter. In these experiments, Tracy, the manager of the theater, collected data on the total number of buckets of popcorn as well as movie ticket sales produced per day.

Tracy would like for you to analyze the data and tell her how many workers she should use each day in the concession stand area for producing popcorn and in the ticket area for producing movie ticket sales. She would also like to know how many buckets of popcorn and movie tickets will be produced/sold by those workers per day.

Access the Unit IV Assignment Worksheet in Blackboard. You will complete the following in this worksheet:

Part 1

Complete the tables calculating the average product, marginal product, total value product, average value product, and marginal value product.

Part 2

Answer the five questions after each table as a guide to use when writing your essay.

Part 3

Write an essay of at least 750 words in which you address the following:

  • Describe your calculations in the table.
  • Indicate the number of workers used per day where the law of diminishing marginal returns begins for producing buckets of popcorn.
  • Indicate the number of workers used per day where the law of diminishing marginal returns begins for movie ticket sales production.
  • Describe the shapes of both the average product and marginal product curves, and include how they compare to the average value product and marginal value product curves for both buckets of popcorn and movie tickets.
  • Indicate the optimal number of workers per day to use and the corresponding total number of buckets of popcorn to produce. Make sure you indicate how you found this optimal number of workers and the total number of buckets of popcorn.
  • Indicate the optimal number of workers per day to use and the corresponding total number of movie tickets to sell (produce). Make sure you indicate how you determined this optimal number of workers and the total number of movie tickets.

Include a copy of the completed tables and your question answers from the worksheet after your essay (e.g., on the page following your reference page, if you have one). The minimum word count will not include the information from the worksheet (tables and answers).

Your assignment is to prepare and submit a paper on film technique analysis.

A 1968 film by Steve McQueen, was rated to be the best. One of the actors in the movie is Ryan Gosling. He has no clear appreciation until he performs in Blue valentine. He became dominant in comedic works, especially in Stupid Love. In the last series of his films, it is evident that he can deliver the goods in comedy and give a dramatic performance. He takes a new formula in Drive that is contrary to his initial acting of comedy. an action star. Gosling does a perfect job of creating violence to give a taste to the movie.

Despite his initial poor performances, Drive gives Gosling a step up to performances worth of Oscar awards. Goslings are more intriguing and mysterious through his character in the movie. In this movie, the main character is not known by a nickname but he occupies the film name hence Driver. This name goes in line with the title and gives direct meaning to the expectation in the movie. The audiences are move to know how stiff and serious the driver in the film is. Drivers character is the creation of curiosity, which may drive the audience to inquire who he is.

The approach is best for developing the character of actors and keep the secrecy of all intentions in relation to past happenings. The character must resemble the actor in order to unpredictability in every action and line as depicted in Drive. The Drive movie is not full of dialogue in the scripts, but most of its scenes are filled with silence. The silence sets the mood of every scene in a different perspective. Silence is a technique that was used in the movie known as the boy in the Striped Pajamas, where scenes that have no background mus

Bad Physics in a Hollywood movie

Guidelines

1. Introduce your movie – what is the name of the movie, which year it came out, actors, director, genre – a drama, a triller, a sci-fi, a comedy, animation, and brief movie content.

2. Show a clip, series of pictures or any other visuals and explain what we are looking at. DO NOT yet explain what is wrong or impossible. Simply describe the scene(s) in as much details as possible. Direct attention to the most important. You can use up to 3 scenes from a movie if they have the same or similar concepts (the 3 clips cannot be longer than 3 min. TOTAL).

3. Here is the most important part – using Physics terminology, explain which Physics laws are broken, why what we looked at is wrong, impossible, ridiculous, and so on. Be very specific, use step by step calculations, detailed descriptions, explanations, research, and anything else to prove that Hollywood is out of touch with reality.

4. This part is a little flexible. You need to either explain what the scene would look like realistically, show how it was done or in any other way give the actual outcome of what was done unrealistically. If you are showing a clip here, it is part of the 3 total clips for a total of 3 min. In other words, if you already showed 3 clips in number 2, you cannot show another one here.

5. Engage the class. Ask questions, short survey, a game, your choice. Please refer to the rubric for more information

Evil Child” Movie: The Exorcist Watch

Assignment Details: “Evil Child” Movie: The Exorcist Watch The Exorcist, what is your first impression of the movie? As an adult, what do you feel toward children after watching the movie? If you had watched this movie when you were a child, how would it have affected you? Does the movie indicate anything about the sociopolitical climate regarding having children and child-rearing practices of the time? Being works of fiction, do such movies have any bearing on the type of environment into which Generation X babies were born and by which they were shaped in their early lives? Pay attention to how the child is raised and what it does (how might nature vs. nurture be implied in these films, I wonder). Also, think about the depiction of family in these films. The suggestion here is that this horror film tapped into changing views on child-rearing and pregnancy that were widespread in social and political discourse during the years mostly associated with the trend of evil child films. How do you see that play out in the film? We still see some films like this today, but what is it about a possessed child that we find so compelling?

The Movie TheExorcist

My first impression of the movie The Exorcistis that it would scare many people especially the children. The movie is a horror based on actual events dealing with demonic possession of a child aged 12 years, while the mother tries to get her back through exorcism conducted by two priests (Holtzclawn.d). After watching this movie it’s clear that children are vulnerable beings and do things unaware of the dangers that they might face. Additionally, children are more prone to inflicted danger and try to experiment certain things as a way of being playful and fully unaware of the consequences. If I had watched this movie as a child I will be cautious in the kind of games I play and activities I engage in. Furthermore I would grow fearing demonic possession and anything associated with board games as well as ensure that I behave morally upright since most signs of possession according to the movie are immoral acts such as stealing and use of offensive language (Susmann.d).

The movie display themes of social-political climate. During the Chris’s party there is presence of an American Senator representing American political power. Chris and her cycle also add a cultural dimension to the American political power (Cull n.d). Additionally, the demon that possesses Reagan, Father Merrin tells the people that to beware of the demon since it mixes the truth with the lies. President Nixon also argued the same concerning the American media houses indicating that they mix the truth with the lies, hence the movie brining in a socio-political climate. The socio-political climate brought by the movie indicate that during the child rearing process, parents should be able to teach their children concerning all elements associated with social-political climate in order to differentiate between the truth and the lies (Traversand Rieff 149).

The movie and the childrearing process presented in the film reflects on how the childrearing process of generation X. Parents are more dis-attached by their children activities in the film since Reagan’s parents do not notice that their child is…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. Cowspiracy

The increasing cases of draught and the ever-increasing demands of water have led to many questions regarding the sustainability efforts being put in place (Peralta, Reynolds, & Kerr, 2014). The documentary “Cowspiracy” details the shocking revelations of the impact of animal agriculture on water sustainability (Williams, 2016) . The main argument of the film is that animal agriculture is responsible for the consumption of enormous amounts of water and environmental pollution than humanity and machines combined.

According to the documentary film, the animal agriculture is responsible for 51% of greenhouse gas emissions (Williams, 2016) . This happens because when animals consume feeds, they emit methane gas during the digestion process. The methane gas is a more powerful agent of global warming than carbon dioxide. Moreover, raising animals for consumption consumes 33% (a third) of global water reserves. This happens because animals consume more water than human beings do. In addition, there are more animals compared to human population and given that, it requires more water to produce beef and other animal products, the overall consumption of water by animals stand at over 130 times than the entire human population consume.           Raising animals for food consumes nearly 45% of the earth’s land (Williams, 2016) . This happens mainly because it requires 10g of vegetable protein to produce 1g of animal protein, meaning more land is needed in order to sustain the large animal population. According to the film, compared to soybean production, land requirements are 6-7 are larger for the production of meat protein. Finally, the documentary points that raising animals for meat production is responsible for 91% of the Amazon destruction. This happens because the forests are being cleared to create more grazing fields and to provide land to plant s……………………………..…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
