The research that is theory driven and supports theory building as the main objectives in the research is normally refers to deductive. The disadvantages of this kind of research design is that it starts with a fully developed framework. This means that the information that does not fit within the framework of the research is thrown out as irrelevant(Pannucci, & Wilkins, 2010). Therefore, the results obtained from this kind of research design can be myopically, thus considered as the science that resists model change. This type of research design follows specific procedures and assumptions described in the theory.

In the text book, sampling procedure was randomized in order to minimize sampling bias. This was achieved through randomization of the treatment conditions. The study also focuses on the issues concerning data collection which is nuance to many researchers. Generally, quantitative data collection does not capture this problem. The study addressed these issues by conducting survey of the patient’s perceptions, thus making the theory to fit the research design. If the research uses an open-ended questions as opposed to closed-end question, the method could be a mixed resign design(Pannucci, & Wilkins, 2010). However, it is important to note that research objectives should be tied with the creation of quantitative data which allows for the comparisons that relates with time-based metrics.

Stereotype

Stereotyping is a phenomenon that has affected every society in the world in one way or another. The most common form of stereotyping in American society is racial and ethnic discrimination and the minority communities i.e. African American and Mexican Americans have suffered the most. As a result, these two communities have negatively suffered from stereotyping to an extend that some members of the community feel ashamed to be associated with their culture and traditions. My Best Training Experience

Recruitment and training form one of the core functions in any organization (Noe, 2010). The organization performance depends on an effective recruitment process. However, effective recruitment alone is not enough for an organization to achieve its desired objectives. The new organizational employees must be trained, as this provides them with appropriate workplace skills and allows them to learn about organizational goals and work culture. Therefore, it is imperative that an effective training process follow an effective recruitment program. Agile methodology often use something called a scrum board.

Projects that conform to the Agile methodology often use something called a scrum board. You can think of a scrum board as a digital whiteboard containing yellow “stickies,” each listing a task, posted beneath categories such as “to do,” “in process,” in testing,” etc. Using a scrum board in this way allows all project members to see where important tasks are in the overall project process quickly and easily.

For this Learning Team assignment, you will collaborate with your team members to create an Agile scrum board based on the Global Treps project from the Wk 2 Team assignment (see below).

Note that in an industry situation, you would most likely use a specialized software tool to manage your scrum board such as Jira, Rally, Asana, or Basecamp. However, in this course, you will be using a tool that you may already be familiar with—Microsoft Excel—to create your scrum board and other deliverables. It is the organization and assignment of tasks that is important about a scrum board, not the specific software tool you use to create and manage it.

To complete this Learning Team assignment:

Reread the Global Treps Scenario that you read in the Wk 2 Team – Apply assignment.

Review the Learning Team Scrum Board Example spreadsheet. (Note: Click the Board tab that appears at the bottom of the spreadsheet to see the scrum board example.)

Create a scrum board in Microsoft Excel format, similar to the linked example, to align with the project scoping document your team created in Wk 2. Ensure that your finished scrum board incorporates a project budget.

The Ford Pinto example is a well-known case that is often discussed in the context of business ethics.

 Case Analysis

The Ford Pinto example is a well-known case that is often discussed in the context of business ethics. To summarize, Ford’s design of the Pinto’s fuel tank was defective, causing fires if the Pinto was involved in even minor rear-end collisions. Ford came to learn of the defect, but the company failed to correct it; Ford then predicted, based on a cost-benefit analysis, that it would cost more to repair the defect ($11 per vehicle, or $137 million total) than it would to pay for damages resulting from burn deaths, burn injuries, and burned vehicles ($47.5 million). Consider the Ford Pinto case in light of the who-how (WH) framework for business ethics.

Would Ford’s decision to forego repairing the defective design comply with these ethical guidelines? If so, why? If not, then what actions should Ford have taken to satisfy them? Explain your reasoning. Explain the need for promoting business social responibility.

Your response to this question must be at least two pages in length. One source is required. Include an introduction in your paper. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessar

William Shakespeare: Comedies, Histories, and Poems

Henry V Essay

1300 Words and 5 quotes – MINIMUM

Henry V [1599]: In the past (even up until World War II) it has been often considered a “patriotic” play about England’s destiny and special relationship in “God’s plan”; however, more recently critics have tended to see the play’s portrait of Henry as ambiguous or troubled at best. Shakespeare’s real portrait of Henry may lie somewhere between two extremes: England’s virtuous, conquering hero, bravely leading his men to God-sanctioned victory over French aristocrats. Or, a Machiavellian operator who manipulates his men through rhetoric and other means to accomplish personal glory on the battlefield and an expansion of his power – it is also possible with Shakespeare that Henry combines BOTH extremes into a fully complicated portrait. Write an essay which

  1. Addresses this complex issue of Henry’s character
  2. Develops some thoughts about how the play might have contributed the formation of a specific identity for England as a unified NATION.
  3. Merge these thoughts into a concluding meditation on how Henry’s good and bad leadership AND the against all odds victory at Agincourt may have contributed to Shakespeare’s conception of an English unified nation

American businesses have often been criticized for short-term thinking that places too much emphasis on payback period and ROR.

Reflection and Disucssuion

Chapter 3. Engineering Economic Analysis

Chapter 4. Life-Cycle Costing

Reflect on the assigned readings for the week. Respond to the following prompts: “What do I feel are the most important aspects of my learning in the chapters this week?” and “What about this learning was really worthy of my time and understanding?” Then explain how important it is in society or business.

Also, provide a graduate-level response to each of the following questions:

  1. American businesses have often been criticized for short-term thinking that places too much emphasis on payback period and ROR. When Honda started making cars in the early 1970s, for example, the chief executive officer stated that the firm would be “willing to accept an ROR no greater than 2% or 3% for as long as it took to be recognized as the best car maker in the world.” In light of the success of many Japanese firms, is the criticism of American business justified?
  2. Most countries have a progressive income tax system whereby each dollar earned in incrementally higher tax brackets is taxed at an increasingly higher rate. Do you think that a flat tax system would be more fair? How about a proportional tax system? Explain your answer.
  3. Discuss the effect of taxes on the life-cycle costing (LCC) of passenger cars. Compare domestic and imported cars.
