Module 1: Overview & Outcomes
Human beings are complex creatures, whose behavior is impacted by many factors, including the environment in which the individual is operating. In many cases, our work is an integral part of how we define ourselves as individuals, so studying behaviors in a work environment is of the utmost importance, not only for organizations, but for managers, and individuals in general. This module will provide you with an overview of the field of Organizational Behavior (OB), which has it roots in psychology and sociology.

As we have learned, critical thinking is a skill that is coveted by many of today’s employers. Visit the Psychometric Tests (Links to an external site.) website which provides several critical thinking tests. After reading about critical thinking tests and verbal reasoning, take the verbal reasoning test. (Note – You are not under any obligation to allow the site to use your responses). You do not need to report your score on the test.
Your Initial Post:
· Of the critical thinking skills: rationality, self-awareness, honesty, open-mindedness, discipline, and judgment, which do you feel this test examines? Explain your answer.
· Based upon what we know about critical thinking, do you feel this test would be a valuable tool in your field? Why or why not?
· In what other ways might we measure critical thinking skills?
Post your primary response by Wednesday, 11:59 pm EST. Read any postings already provided by your instructor or fellow students.
