A team is considered an essential ingredient to a successful establishment of a business or a product or service. However, putting together a capable team is not something that will happen overnight. It requires planning as a continuous process to make it happen. XYZ Company will be starting a mentoring program that will see the launch of a mobile application that will be aimed to connect aspiring entrepreneurs to knowledgeable and successful mentors in diverse fields and specialties. To build a capable team to make this goal come to pass, I will accurately identify employees’ skill sets that will suit the tasks that I have identified from different departments. The other step will be delegating tasks to each person, and as a leader, my job will be making sure that the employees do their responsibilities as they are needed.

It will be essential to involve all team members in goal setting to ensure cohesion and a trustworthy relationship. As the team leader, it will be crucial not to micromanage, especially to those who will be developing the app. The team that will make this project come to pass will be the tech team who will be responsible for developing and maintaining the app. The marketing personnel will also be on the team that I will put together. The marketing team will entail of the digital marketers whose responsibilities will be familiarizing the targeted audience about the app. The other part of the marketing team will be the ground team, who will have the responsibility of reaching potential mentors and showing the public the necessity of subscribing to the application.

An effective team must be built on five attributes (the five Cs) where each attribute relies on the other, thus becoming a domino effect. The five Cs include cooperating, coordinating, communicating, comforting, and conflict-handling, where a team cannot coordinate if there is no cooperation, and there can be no communication if there is no coordination, while no comforting can work with no communication.
