Introduction

Influenza (H1N1) commonly referred to as Swine flu is a subtype of influenza A virus which is a communicable viral disease. It is associated with symptoms such as lower respiratory tract disease, decreased appetite, fever, chills and nasal secretions. Influenza H1N1 causes upper and potentially, lower respiratory tract infections in the host it infects. As the name suggests, influenza H1N1 is a common infection in pigs globally(Purohit, et al., 2018). It leads to respiratory disease that can infect the respiratory tract of pigs.
