I have worked in a hospital for the past two years as a nurse. Like any other work environment, hospitals have work issues unique to this type of work environment. In this type of work environment, employees take care of patients who in some cases are very helpless. The patients not only need their attention, but also their love and a constant reassurance that they will get better. This type of work environment takes more than skill, and usually requires a caring attitude towards the patients. For this to be possible health care workers need the best working conditions. They need an environment where they can freely express themselves without victimization. Mutual respect is also critical in this type of work environment.
