Applying the 21 Synectics Steps

The problem here is the spread of cactus in the protected and unprotected area thus taking up grazing land. The idea is to apply 21 synectics steps to solve the problem.

Empathize: The spread of cactus in these areas can be related to spread of other invasive species in the protected and unprotected area and have cause havoc in the communities.
Superimpose: The cactus can be overlapped with other plants that serves as biological control so that it can suppress their growth thus creating new ecosystem by replacing cactus.
Substitute: The spread of cactus in the area can be substituted with plants that more valuable to the animals and community in terms of fodder and food.
